The Project
Bunjil Place, located in the City of Casey’s Narre Warren, is a multipurpose arts, civic and community facility designed by leading Australian architectural firm Francis-Jones Morehen Thorp. The space underwent redevelopment in 2017, with a design vision that sought to create authenticity and “place” for Narre Warren and the City of Casey.
The $125 million project officially opened on 28 and 29 October 2017 and serves as the melting pot of arts, culture, innovation and community. Bunjil Place embodies exciting and diverse entertainment options with its 800-seat theatre, studio, gallery, function centre, foyer, library, meeting rooms, cafe, City of Casey customer service and outdoor plaza.
In conjunction with Multiplex, as part of promoting optimal health and wellbeing of visitors from all walks of life and age, slip resistant stainless steel grates were installed in the meandering paths of Bunjil’s The Plaza.
